D-1 Mini lite upload error

  • My sketch compiles and uploads on the D-1 Mini but not the Mini lite. Never seen this error message before: Arduino: 1.8.4 (Windows 7), Board:

    "WeMos D1 R2 & mini, 80 MHz, 921600, 4M (3M SPIFFS)"

    Archiving built core (caching) in: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\arduino_cache_418528\core\core_esp8266_esp8266_d1_mini_CpuFrequency_80,UploadSpeed_921600,FlashSize_4M3M_ff565c0521b3b290b9a28090db903bbb.a

  • Revisiting my Mini-lite. Updated IDE boards manager and the D1-mini lite shows up. I'm trying to upload the "get chip id" sketch.

     *  wemos.cc
     *
     *
     */

    void setup() {
      Serial.begin(115200);
    }

    void loop() {
      Serial.println("");
      Serial.println("");
      Serial.println("Check ID in:");
      Serial.println("https://www.wemos.cc/verify_products");
      Serial.printf("Chip ID = %08X\n", ESP.getChipId());
      Serial.println("");
      Serial.println("");
      delay(5000);
    }

    I get the following errors:

  • I have spent many hours trying to make this board work without resolution. I am officially giving up on it. For an extra 50 cents I get a real ESP8266 board. The D-1 mini and mini-pros are fantastic. I have still not seen any benefits of this board. esp8285.
    After many tries... It is official. I have given up on the mini-lite version. I have broken it in half and tossed it in the trash! Back to the beloved D-1 mini, mini-pro! : )
